About
Welcome to Restaurante Los Bohios, a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant San Andres, San Luis, and San Andres and Providencia region of Colombia. If you're seeking an authentic culinary experience, this family-run establishment is the perfect destination. Picture a cozy atmosphere where the warmth of the local culture envelops you, and the aroma of home-cooked dishes beckons from the kitchen.
The heart and soul of Restaurante Los Bohios lie in its traditional offerings. Diners rave about the Red Snapper cooked to perfection, served alongside crispy fried plantains and fragrant rice. George Scouler describes it as “very tasty,” with the understanding that the wait adds to the experience—a true celebration of patience in the culinary journey.
For the adventurous palate, the menu features exquisite native dishes. Jihene Serkhane praised the concha (nautilus) in a delectable sauce paired with creamy coconut rice and a fresh salad. Who wouldn’t be enchanted by a meal that costs only a fraction of what nearby restaurants charge? It's a great reminder of the value of local cuisine and the richness of San Andres's flavors!
If you’re looking for a cozy and friendly atmosphere, Restaurante Los Bohios ticks all the boxes. The restaurant is run by a warm family who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. As Iryna P. shares, the owner is approachable and kind, creating a delightful dining experience by the beautiful beachside. You might even find a fresh coconut vendor nearby, offering a tropical touch to your meal with an option of coconut and rum.
In addition to the mouthwatering dishes, the authentic experience is underscored by the community spirit. Reviews highlight the locals' love for their food and culture. This is truly “food for the soul,” as echoed by Claudia Correa, who emphasizes that while the service may take time, every bite is worth the wait.
Whether you are a fan of seafood or looking to explore native Colombian flavors, Restaurante Los Bohios welcomes you with open arms and promises a meal that you'll remember long after leaving its charming shores. So if you find yourself wandering away from the commercial bustle of downtown San Andres, allow your taste buds to guide you to this authentic culinary haven!
“ Muy de la Isla...debes tener paciencia, la comida se demora pero vale la ena...es uno de los mejores pescados de la Isla q me he comido...muy de los lugareños ”
“ Mejor restaurante de San Andrés. Súper Rico, auténtico, y el servicio es 10/10. Gracias. ”
“ Súper recomendado, la comida es muy rica. La relación precio-calidad me parece bastante buena. Fue el mejor pescado que comí en la isla El señor que atiende fue muy amable. ”
“ This is a native family run restaurant (the older daddy and mom with their grown up kid, super friendly and accomodating), the most delicious and affordable (!) home-made really typical food (like really native). I had concha (nautilus) in a delicious sauce served with coconut rice, salad (freshly shredded carrot and tomatoes) and pan de fruta (bread-fruit tree fruit). Costed me 1/3 of the price neighboring restaurants were proposing. Unforgettable meal! It's right across from a clean non-touristy beach, where a super friendly guy sells fresh coconuts, than you can have with rum and other fixings. Just perfect! And on top of that they speak English (the natives from San Andres do actually speak a dialect very close to English) Do yourself a favor, run away from the commercial all foreign bought downtown San Andres and eat REAL food at this restaurant! ”
“ Loved the Red Snapper with fried plantains and rice. Very tasty. Long wait but we were in no hurry. Glad for this experience! ”
“ Very cosy place with simple but finger licking dishes. We had a red snapper, caracol, chicken and rice with coconut milk and fresh salad is totally completing whole combination! All dishes are so delicious, owner is very nice and friendly. Highly recommend to visit this little authentic restaurant by the beautiful beach side. Con mucho gusto ”
